Covetrus Care Plans

Are you likely to visit your veterinarian one or more times a year? Do you want your pet to be current with vaccinations? Do you see signs of gum disease or other dental issues? Does your pet’s breed or genetic history suggest that you watch out for specific health concerns? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Covetrus Care Plans are right for you! Talk to your veterinarian about which plan is best for your pet today!

Covetrus Care Plans are affordable monthly payment plans for your pet’s preventive care services. These care plans were created by veterinarians to help make taking care of your pet convenient and affordable. Covetrus Care Plans allow you and your vet to customize a plan to meet your individual needs and budget – and arrange monthly payments for those services instead of a once or twice-a-year lump sum.

Yes. You and your veterinarian will determine which care package is right for you and your budget. Once that is determined, you pay a monthly membership fee based on the plan you choose.

Yes. We understand that circumstances change and that life is hard to predict. We make it easy to change or cancel your plan at any time. You will be responsible only for the regular price of services you’ve used so far, but won’t be penalized or charged fees for cancellation.

No. It’s important to note that Covetrus Care Plans are not the same thing as pet insurance. Covetrus Care Plans help you manage the cost of necessary regular care for your pet. Pet insurance helps offset costs of catastrophic events, like unexpected accidents or illnesses.

Dog Wash

The Dog Wash is ADA-Compliant, which means there is enough room for someone in a standard wheelchair to roll-in and turn completely around inside the unit, so there is a lot more floor space than you would think. The floor drains into the same hair-collection filters as the tub, so if your dog is extra-large or otherwise unable to climb into the tub, you are welcome to leave your dog on the floor and wash him/her there!

You DO NOT need to bring you own shampoos, or other solutions. Along with selecting the “rinse” cycle to spray clear warm water, you can select the desired solution and have the water come out sudsy, with the soap already mixed-in. Your choices are: shampoo, conditioner, blow drying options, as well as a tub disinfectant setting (safe for dogs, although we DO NOT recommend disinfecting with your dog in the tub).

The machine accepts Credit/Debit Cards and exact cash only. The machine does not give back change. (See “Cost” question below)

It costs $5.00 to start the wash unit with 7 minutes on the clock which is displayed on both the LCD screen and touch screen. As your time runs out, the machine will give you warning tones to let you know you are nearing the end. Need more time? You can add more minutes to your wash on the touch screen by selecting $0.50 increments all the way up to 5$.

The self-service dog wash is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. This 24/7/365 service is because of the very good heating & air conditioning system within the dog wash.

The Dog Wash has a touch screen which will guide you through your pet’s tub time. Each selection will give you a recommended time frame of how long to use each product/cycle. You may also change the automated voice by touching the celebrity head along the outside of the touch screen for added amusement! If you have any issues with the use of the dog wash, please let a staff member know or leave us a message at (920) 477-3003 ext 0 outside of business hours and we will be happy to assist you!

The Dog Wash is cleaned and disinfected daily or more often as needed! We ask patrons to use the last few seconds to spray the tub and wash area with the Tub Disinfectant. It keeps things nice for the next patron. Should you ever come and find that our Dog Wash was left in an unsatisfactory state, please let us know!

We don’t supply or sell towels. The Dog Wash has a “blow dryer” which will assist in drying the dog. Some folks still prefer to bring their own towel with them, and we certainly don’t have a problem with that.

Worried about having your canine friend “escape” from the bath? No worries! In the tub, there is a tether with a leash-end. If your dog has a collar on that can get wet, you can hook your pet up to keep him/her in place. The length of the tether can be adjusted by feeding it through the loops near the front of the tub. Washing Fido on the floor? You can lock the doors from the inside, so you can effectively lock yourself in the Dog Wash, preventing a large dog from pushing the door open.

Physical Therapy

Drop off is generally between 8AM and 9AM. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays physical therapy patients can also be dropped off between 7:00-7:30AM if prearranged.

Of course! Please discuss with Sarah, our physical therapist, and she will work with you to find the right time for your schedule and ours.

How often and when a patient comes to therapy is totally dependent on the dog and its conditions. This can be discussed with Sarah. Generally patients come in 2-3 times per week.

Payment is due at the time of service. Physical therapy is often paid for in packages with a set number of treatments. Treatments can be paid individually as well.

Yes, it is likely your pet will be placed on some restrictions. A care guide will be sent home with each patient laying out specific instructions for at home and between sessions.

Each case is unique; please discuss this with Sarah for the best recommendation.

There are always other options with physical therapy, most patients who don’t tolerate the underwater treadmill will tolerate whirlpool therapy.

Yes! Each patient will be given things to do at home which will be detailed in a take home book. This can be used right alongside physical therapy at Country Hills.

Preventative Care

Regular examinations, vaccinations, screenings, and other medical procedures provide your veterinarian with information about your pet’s body, organs, and overall health.

By looking at your pet regularly and measuring changes in their health, issues can be detected earlier and you and your veterinarian can follow through with treatment sooner to avoid illness becoming costlier in the future. This approach to pet healthcare is called preventive care.

Preventive care includes services such as routine checkups, necessary vaccinations, intestinal parasite screens and recommended blood and urine screens. It may also include dental cleanings and other recommended services. Your pet’s age, species, breed and overall health status will play a role in determining which services are needed in their preventive care protocol.

Absolutely! Illnesses and disease can affect a puppy or kitten’s health too. Preventive care can include vaccine series to protect against such dangerous diseases as distemper and rabies. Services also often include spaying and neutering your young pet, as well as blood screening to establish baseline information for early detection of potential health threats in the future.

Absolutely! In fact, regular checkups and screenings are an essential part of making sure problems are caught as early – a crucial part of keeping your senior pet happy and healthy as long as possible. Preventive care services for senior pets can include twice-annual checkups, blood and urine screening, dental cleanings, vaccinations, pest control and more.
